Sailing El Coco

El Coco is a convenient location for our catamaran tours, as the beach and low waves allow for easy boarding directly from the beach. El Coco is the most authentic community in the area, where local customs still abound, and it is also strategically located in the middle of some of Guanacaste's most beautiful attractions, including beautiful beaches, islands as well as the Papagayo Peninsula, which is quite close. During private charters from El Coco, our crew will take you on an unforgettable private trip aboard an excellent sailing catamaran to navigate the most pristine, natural and beautiful areas of the area, away from the noise of hotels and civilization. All our private catamaran sailing tours from El Coco include drinks, meals, snorkeling, paddle boards and also, includes going to really explore the most remote and natural coast of Guanacaste's most remote areas, where beautiful and pristine beaches, islets and rock reefs ideal for snorkeling or swimming in the sea are usually abundant.

Private half day sailing charters

We offer two private tour schedules, both 4 hours long. The morning tour departs at 8:30 am and returns at 12:30 pm, while the private sunset tour departs at 2:00 pm and returns at 6:00 pm. Both tours offer the same script, which includes actually sailing with sails to beautiful and desolate places along the coast. Our purpose is to show visitors the natural beauties of Guanacaste, beyond the tourist and hotel zones. During these 4 hours, we include snorkeling, paddle boards, meals and drinks, you can even listen to your own music with the sound system on board. The purpose of the tour is to take you to a desolate and beautiful beach, to swim in the sea, enjoy food and drinks, snorkeling and paddle boarding or just admire the scenic beauty of the coast. With luck, we will see dolphins, sea turtles and during the season even whales.

Full day sailing charters

The full day tour departs at 10 am and returns at 6 pm, and includes meals, drinks, snorkeling, paddle boards, visit a private beach, where during the anchorage, a delicious lunch is included. This full day tour offers everything you need to explore the most beautiful regions of Guanacaste, away from hotel and resort constructions. On the way back, you will be able to appreciate the sunset from aboard the catamaran, while you finish enjoying your last cocktail.

Sailing El Coco

El Coco is the largest and most authentic community in northern Guanacaste. Originally a fishing village, today it is an important tourist site, and is conveniently located close to several attractions of the region, such as the Murcielago Islands, Catalina Islands, other beaches, the Papagayo Peninsula and good diving sites. It is also a town where tourists like to hang out, to appreciate more local customs, and taste more authentic food, outside of the hotel and resort environment. El Coco is an excellent place to set sail on our private catamaran tours, and in fact, we board directly from the beach, because of its gentle currents and little or no waves.

Catamarans and charters

Our 4 private catamarans offer all the amenities and services for a half or full day charter. The catamarans have a trampoline at the bow, plenty of shaded and uncovered areas, as well as a large interior salon, several bathrooms with sinks and an impeccable sound system. During the tours, the crew will be fully dedicated to serving each client, with meals, assisting with snorkeling as well as explaining about geography, nature and other topics.
